Which course is right for me?
If you are taking the course for personal interest or for a job such as in a day-care or school, then you probably need the Basic CPR Course. Here, you will learn the basics of CPR, including how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), how to relieve choking, how to recognize cardiac arrest and how to help until EMS assistance arrives.
If you work in a medical setting or are a nurse, doctor, hospital/clinic personnel or dental assistant, you probably need the BLS Course. This course includes all the content of the Basic CPR Course, plus practice using ambulatory (AMBU) bags and providing two-person rescue CPR. BLS certification requires both a written exam and practical skills test, while the Basic CPR course requires only the practical skills test.
*Registered or licensed child care providers may attend CPR class for only $30!
